  • Intella 1.1 released
    May 1, 2009

Vound released the new version of Intella. The 1.1 version offers:

    • Preview: shows the extracted text and other properties of the indexed files. All info for this viewer is fetched from local stores, no access is required to the original source (e.g. pst file or IMAP server), which means that it is very very fast. This viewer is to be extended with search term highlighting soon.
    • Optionally extracts and indexes images that are embedded inside documents.
    • Thumbnail viewer: see an overview of all images in a result set as thumbnails. This viewer is an alternative for the table and list views. It is also integrated in the Document Preview, where it shows all attached images of emails and embedded images of documents.
    • Optionally caches images locally on disk - else no thumbnails!
    • Support for MS Outlook Express .dbx files.
    • Support for RAR archives (experimental: I am told it currently works on 2 out of 3 .rar files)
    • Optionally exports items into a folder hierarchy, derived from the folders they originate from.
    • You can now search on arbitrary date ranges.
    • Support for queries that start with a wildcard ('*' or '?').
    • ... and a lot of minor bug and usability fixes.
